Frances “Frannie” Demapan joins the AG’s office
The CNMI Office of the Attorney General is proud to announce and welcome Ms. Frances T. Demapan as assistant attorney general. She joins the prosecution team of the criminal division where she will serve as traffic prosecutor.
Ms. Demapan began her career as a research associate at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Environmental Law Program in 2013, and most recently, served as law clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.
“We are excited to have Ms. Demapan join our team,” says Attorney General Edward Manibusan. “She will be a great asset and I firmly believe that she will be a valued resource for the people we serve,” concludes AG Manibusan.
A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Ms. Demapan earned her Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2015. In 2010, Ms. Demapan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University where she majored in English and American Literature.
Ms. Demapan is barred in the CNMI and Hawaii and holds memberships in various groups such as CNMI Bar Association, Hawaii Bar Association, Hawaii Women Lawyers, American Bar Association and Marianas Young Professionals.
